First, in plain English

Abraham's servant went back to Mesopotamia to find Isaac a wife. He asked for water, and Rebekah offered to water his camels too. That was the sign he had been waiting for.

Who this is

Rebekah was chosen as Isaac's wife when Abraham's servant traveled back to Mesopotamia and tested prospective brides by asking for water, and Rebekah's immediate willingness to water his camels as well identified her as the right choice. She later favored her younger son Jacob over the elder Esau and orchestrated the deception that let Jacob steal his father's dying blessing, a decision that fractured the family and sent Jacob fleeing for his life.
