Who this is

Rehoboth, meaning "broad places" or "open spaces," names at least three different locations in the Old Testament. Isaac's servants dug a well by that name in the Negev after two earlier wells provoked disputes with local herdsmen, this one finally left uncontested (Genesis 26:22). A city called "Rehoboth by the river" is listed among the descendants of Esau as the home of an Edomite king (Genesis 36:37; 1 Chronicles 1:48), likely on the Euphrates. Genesis 10:11 also names Rehoboth-Ir among the cities built in Assyria, though many translators instead render the phrase as simply the "city squares" or open spaces of Nineveh rather than a separate place name.
