Who this is
Sabeans here are the wealthy traders of Sheba in southern Arabia, named in Isaiah 45:14 among the nations whose wealth will one day come to acknowledge Israel's God. Sheba's caravan trade in spices and gold is well attested, and inscriptions from the ancient South Arabian kingdom of Saba, in modern Yemen, confirm its wealth and prominence in the ancient incense trade.
