The Valley of Shaveh, also called the King's Valley, was where the king of Sodom went out to meet Abram after his rescue of Lot and victory over the invading eastern kings (Gen. 14:17). The same valley is named again generations later as the site where Absalom set up a monument to himself (2 Sam. 18:18), though its precise location near Jerusalem is no longer known.
