Shiloh (Man living at the time of the Patriarchs)
Jacob's blessing on Judah says the sceptre stays "until Shiloh comes," and nobody has ever agreed what that means. Some read Shiloh as a title for a coming ruler from Judah.

In Jacob's deathbed blessing over Judah, the phrase "until Shiloh comes" is one of the most debated lines in Genesis (Gen. 49:10). Some read "Shiloh" as a title for a coming ruler descended from Judah, a reading Jewish and Christian interpreters alike have long taken as messianic; others, following a different vocalization of the Hebrew, render it "until he comes to Shiloh," pointing instead to the town where the tabernacle was later set up. What is gathered here is that prophetic phrase; the town itself is listed separately.
