Shimeam was a descendant of Jehiel, the founder of Gibeon, listed among the Benjamite families that resettled Jerusalem after the exile in 1 Chronicles 9:38. The parallel genealogy in 1 Chronicles 8:32 gives the same figure's name as Shimeah, one of several minor spelling variants between the two overlapping lists. Nothing further is recorded of him.
