Admah was one of the five cities of the plain, with Sodom and Gomorrah, and Shinab was its king when Chedorlaomer came. He was one of the kings who rebelled.
Shinab was king of Admah, one of the five cities of the plain that included Sodom and Gomorrah, at the time of the invasion by Chedorlaomer and his allied kings described in Genesis 14:2. He and the other city-kings rebelled against Chedorlaomer after twelve years of vassalage and were defeated in the battle that led to Lot's capture and Abraham's rescue. Admah was later destroyed along with Sodom and Gomorrah (Deuteronomy 29:23).
