Tabor
A dome-shaped mountain rising out of the Jezreel Valley, on the line between Zebulun and Issachar. Deborah sent Barak there to gather Israel before the battle with Sisera. The psalmist sets it beside Hermon, and Hosea and Jeremiah both name it in oracles of judgment.

Mount Tabor is a distinctive, dome-shaped peak rising from the Jezreel Valley on the border of Zebulun and Issachar. Deborah summoned Barak and Israel's forces there before their victory over Sisera's army, and Gideon later avenged his brothers' deaths at the hands of Midianite kings near the same mountain. The psalmist pairs Tabor with Hermon as poetic emblems of God's creation, and Hosea and Jeremiah both invoke it in oracles of judgment. A separate Levitical town of the same name belonged to Zebulun.
