Tertullus was a professional orator hired by the Jewish leadership to present their accusations against Paul before the Roman governor Felix in Caesarea. He flattered Felix at length before charging Paul with stirring up unrest, leading the sect of the Nazarenes, and attempting to profane the temple (Acts 24:1-9).
