Who this is

Thamar is the Greek form of Tamar, the Canaanite woman who disguised herself and conceived twins, Perez and Zerah, by her father-in-law Judah after he had failed to give her his youngest son in marriage (Gen. 38). She is one of only four women named in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus (Matt. 1:3).
