Who this is

Thyatira was a commercial city in the Roman province of Asia known for its trade guilds, especially dyers who worked with a purple dye extracted from the madder root; inscriptions naming the city's dyers' guild have been found among its ruins. Lydia, the seller of purple cloth whom Paul converted at Philippi, came from Thyatira (Acts 16:14). It was also home to one of the seven churches addressed in Revelation, commended for its love and service but rebuked for tolerating a false prophetess who led believers into idolatry and sexual immorality (Revelation 2:18-29).
