Troas was a port city on the northwest coast of Asia Minor near the site of ancient Troy, a major stop on Roman sea routes to Macedonia. Here Paul received his vision of a Macedonian man pleading, "Come over and help us," which redirected his second missionary journey into Europe (Acts 16:8-11); he later raised Eutychus from the dead during an all-night sermon there (Acts 20:6-12) and, on his final journey, left a cloak and some books with Carpus in the city (2 Timothy 4:13).
