Isaiah 24:21-23
Yahweh punishes the host of heaven above and the kings of earth below, then reigns before His elders.
Isaiah 24:21-23, in every translation this tool compares.
The real question: why does this text judge sky-powers and earthly kings in the very same breath, as if they were the same kind of problem? A report saying “the executives and the faulty machines both failed inspection” only makes sense if the machines were also somebody's job to maintain. Judging “the host of heaven” and “the kings of the earth” together only makes sense if both were handed responsibility, and both failed at it. This card reads it as one failure at two levels, sky-powers and kings alike.
Heavenly powers and earthly kings are judged in one sentence, as though they were the same kind of problem.
Delegated rule that went wrong at both levels makes the pairing ordinary rather than poetic.
It does not identify which specific figures make up “the host of heaven” here, or say what their punishment actually consists of. The parallel with earthly kings works as an argument, but the passage stops short of naming names on either side.
