Og of Bashan
A giant king whose iron bed was thirteen feet long.
Numbers 21:33-35, in every translation this tool compares.
A giant king, and the Bible gives you his bed: nine cubits long, about thirteen feet. He ruled Bashan, which the Ugaritic texts connect with the dead and with the entrance to the underworld, so the location is doing work as well as the measurements.
The last of the Rephaim, whose iron bed is nine cubits long (about thirteen feet) and four wide (about six), ruling Bashan, the region the Ugaritic texts associate with the dead and the gates of the underworld. His defeat is recited in the Psalms as a founding victory. Walton's commentary flags that the bed's dimensions match Marduk's cultic bed in the Esagila temple in Babylon exactly, where Marduk and his consort Zarpanitu met once a year in a sacred marriage meant to secure the land's blessing and hold the cosmic order in place. Heiser reads the match as a deliberate polemical link back to the apkallu and Watcher material of Genesis 6, which makes Og heir to Babylon's antediluvian divine knowledge. DDD's Bashan article adds that Psalm 68:15-16 calls Bashan itself a har elohim, "mountain of God," language otherwise reserved for Yahweh's own dwelling, and that the region's Ugaritic place names (Ashtaroth, Edrei) mark it as the seat of the deified dead kings, the mlkm and rpum, making Bashan a Canaanite heaven and hell at once.

Some commentators and translations read Deuteronomy 3:11's 'eres barzel as a basalt sarcophagus instead of a literal iron bed. Walton's commentary judges the plain meaning clear enough and keeps "iron bed," noting that iron was still a precious, remarkable material in the period, comparable to the gold- and ivory-overlaid furniture described elsewhere.
